(PMXEditor) Help... *sigh*

Okay so, I'm new to skirt plugins. I always rig the skirts manually.  IK. It's some pretty hardcore shit if you ask me (jk, it just takes some time). And I did know skirt plugins existed, I was just too lazy to look at the tutorials. When I did look at the tutorials I tried doing it myself, I had some problems bc I didn't know you had to put the file stuff of the plugin in the user folder(?)... Never mind that, I already solved it. Sorry for the rambling. Let's get to the point. So, I use the plugin (sorry, I don't know what vocabulary to use so that everyone can understand me) and that tab with all the options appears. I follow all the steps (the ones that appear on skirt plugin tutorials, the usual steps) and when I get to the bone tab where you can add more bones and rows of bones, I change the number so that I have more bones in each row (and the skirt can move more fluently). Then when I get to step 9 in the tutorial, the skirt doesn't have the number of bones I chose. 

I just want to know if there's something specific I need to know in order to change the number of bones(?), or what can I do? XD I don't even know what to ask exactly bc I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm genuinely just following all the steps. And yes, I've tried using the plugin on a skirt with the default amount of bones, and the skirt just doesn't move fluently. Sorry if I didn't make this clear
